How We Move at The Enjoy Movement
Our mission is to work with women so they enjoy exercise and can embrace an active life for the long term. Everything we do, the way we train, the way we communicate and the vibe we create is all aimed at supporting this mission. Many of our clients have previously been “exercise haters”, trying different forms of exercise and classes, none of which worked for them, until they started personal training sessions with us.
We are called The Enjoy Movement for a reason. Enjoyment is fundamental if you want to create a life-long exercise habit and so we put this at the centre of everything we do. Many women who have previously not exercised before or have hated everything they have tried, have formed a consistent exercise habit when working with our personal trainers in Tunbridge Wells.
We have a few key principles that guide everything we do. Of course, we follow established fitness principles to ensure you get effective workouts, but in addition to intelligent programming, we believe we create the environment in which you can succeed.
Kindness is key. If you want brutal workouts that leave you aching for days, then we are not the personal trainers for you. If you want functional, enjoyable exercise that nourishes your body and mind and sets you up to live the life you want, then we can work together. We believe in positive language, support and encouragement. There is no shaming here, we create an inclusive environment and believe that success comes from a place of kindness and positivity, not shame.
Community is also so important if you want to keep active for life. Our community of personal trainers in Tunbridge Wells are dedicated to helping you connect with others and to creating a warm, sociable community helps you feel supported, motivated and keeps you accountable. Laughter helps us feel good so we don’t take ourselves too seriously and enjoy the combination of chat, connection, laughter and exercise. It all helps keep things enjoyable.
We want you to leave our classes and personal training sessions feeling brilliant, aware of what you can achieve and how you have progressed, so getting a workout that is right for your level of experience and ability is important. One of the main reasons it’s hard to make exercise a habit is if you’re working too hard. We have all felt rubbish in an exercise class, not being able to keep up, so even in our group exercise classes we are conscious of providing options so the class is the right level for you.
Most of our clients are women aged 35+. We provide exercise classes and personal training that create strong, fit and healthy bodies. We believe in intelligent programming, not beasting you with 100 burpees. We focus on strength, conditioning and mobility and work with other local fitness businesses to support a holistic approach. So can recommend yoga and pilates studios, manual therapists and movement experts.
We work with real women, leading busy lives, many of whom have families to add to the juggle. We are realistic with what you can do at this life stage so our classes are short (30-45 minutes) and aim to get maximum effect in the shortest time.
